Being a local and going on an excursion in your own city is an experience!
Last week, Royal Carribean UK took me on a New Dubai City Tour which included a trip to the Lost Chambers at the famous Atlantis Hotel, The Palm Jumeirah, a quick tour of the Dubai Marina and a view from the tallest tower in the world, The Burj Khalifa At the Top.
As I live in Dubai, I was picked up locally, but if you are coming from a Royal Caribbean ship, you would have been dropped off at the cruise Terminal on Mina Rashid Road, DP World Cruise Terminals, from where you will be picked up for any of the available excursions.
Have you guys ever been on a Royal Caribbean cruise? What are the things that you would look for in a cruise? For me it would be sleep, spa, eat, repeat. And then of course, to break that RRR fest (Relax, Rejuvenate, Repeat) with an excursion like this! But since I didn’t exactly take the cruise, as the ones to Dubai begin from December onwards, I was given the city tour to get a flavour of the types of excursions that are organised for their guests. You can find more here!
Coming to the excursion. We started with a tour of the Aquarium and The Lost Chambers at The Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah. Watching some of the most beautiful underwater creatures and how they were transported to a hotel for us humans to view, is just unimaginable.

After my tryst with nature, I got on to the monorail on the Palm, a trip that I have always wanted to take! Thank you so much Royal Caribbean UK for allowing me to tick this off my list of things to do while still in Dubai.
The monorail gives you an entire view of the (famous structure) Atlantis hotel and a partial view of the palm islands as the monorail is elevated from the ground.
You can see the million dollar villas – some of them owned by famous celebrities around the world – on the island and the Dubai Marina Skyline
We then moved on to the Marina for a quick walk around the promenade and then off to the tallest tower in the world – The Burj Khalifa.

Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas ship will be going to Dubai from December onwards, doing 7 night trips around the Arabian gulf (Dubai, Khasab – Oman, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai)
Take a look at the destinations here.
If you’re traveling from the UK, you can hop on an Emirates flight and start your Royal Caribbean holiday from Dubai.
