I was curious to find out what this entire ‘Reserve coffee’ by Starbucks was all about. So, I went for the event that took place yesterday at the Starbucks Coffee, The Dubai Mall. So, what is Starbucks Reserve (Trademark)?

These are coffees that are available only in limited quantities, that are rare and exquisite, we are told. The coffee is bought and shipped for Starbucks ‘from exotic single small farms in exceptional locations.’ Hmmm….Okay…? Starbucks Reserve (Trademark) coffee is roasted to bring out the unique and rare flavors offered by these coffee beans, says their enthusiastic team.

The Clover Brewing system (video below) uses a Vacuum-Press (Trademark) technology which pulls the coffee through a 70-micron filter, resulting in that ‘reserve’ coffee.

How the Starbucks Reserve coffee is made and served at The Dubai Mall using the Clover Brewing system:

Rana Shaheen, Regional Communications and CSR Manager – Starbucks Coffee, Retail Division, Middle East tells you what exactly is ‘Reserve Coffee’ by Starbucks:

        Hi Jaison,

Its just a new machine that Starbucks has recently got – and it apparently, well, in layman’s terms, squeezes the goodness right out of the coffee beans down to its best, with this vacuum technology! 🙂
