What is Balsan?

Thomas Brinke founded Balsan Cosmetic GmbH in September 1998 to develop effects-based cosmetics. The name “Balsan” is derived from “Balsam”, the German word for balm and emphasizes a nurturing and caring aspect.

After intensive research and many tests on different types of skin, Balsan cosmetics developed a recipe to soften callused areas of skin such as the callus and cuticles without injuring the skin. Balsan aims to replace the usual type of treatments like scalpel, pumice stone and other instruments that involve a high risk of injury.

With this form of treatment, the skin becomes irritated and protects itself by producing new callus.

It includes an assorted mix of ingredients like Aqua, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Maris Sal, and Calendula Officinalis Extract which penetrate into the affected area on your foot without injuring the healthy skin around it. This treatment can also be used at home.

How to use the Balsan kit at home?

Dip a cotton ball into BALSAN callus lotion and place it on the affected areas of your foot like the sole and the heels. Remove after 20 minutes and gently remove the callus, cuticles and dry skin with the help of a spatula. Apply the non-slippery BALSAN cream to complete the treatment.

The Balsan treatment (and home kit) is available at the following salons in Dubai:

  • Galina’s Beauty Salon
  • Famous Beauty Spa
  • La Bella Beauty Salon
  • Elyazia Beauty Centre
  • Elyazia Zabeel Ladies Club Beauty Salon

Did we mention how amazingly effective and better than a regular pedicure it is? It’s also more hygienic.
