Measuring at 116.8 x 90.7 x 69.4mm and weighing only 407g, this lightweight beauty has a compact body and also features a bright Optical Viewfinder – giving users the full, responsive experience of a DSLR in a compact form.
The EOS 100D features a large 7.7cm (3.0”) ClearView II Capacitive Touch screen. Capable of shooting at speeds of up to 4fps, the EOS 100D makes it easy for beginners to capture a range of high quality images, be it of special moments with family and friends or fast-paced action on holiday.
It has easy-to-use shooting modes and creative filters. Scene Intelligent Auto mode automatically detects the scene being shot and selects best settings so users can simply focus on the image, letting the camera decide the best combination of settings for the scene.
The EOS 100D also offers a range of dedicated scene modes, including modes such as Kids, Food and Candlelight modes, designed to ensure optimum results with stunning detail in a range of familiar situations.
Of course there was a unique event organized by CANON and their PR team to celebrate this invention.
Some images (below) that I took with the new CANON EOS 100D at the event, that hosted fashion bloggers, select media and Photographer Farook Salik who showed us how to use the camera.
What we thought? From a lay person’s viewpoint, we love how it clicks! Not to mention how sweetly lightweight it is. I know I am going to use this camera at all my shoots from now on and even invest in a bigger lens!
Don’t worry, that’s not all we are going to give you as part of our coverage for this post. We are going to get someone at CANON to give you some tips on how you can make the best use of the camera on video.
