A great combination of food and shopping is what the H Hotel was charged with at one of their Iftar evenings held a few days ago.

Strumming through the mini souk {Ramadan Handicraft Market}, created at the H Hotel especially for the Holy month, got my friend and I super excited as we had no idea about the souk. A few glimpses and sparkled-out eyes later, we decided to return to our shopping escapades after dinner.

What greeted us at the Arcadia Lounge, was a lavish Iftar spread. My friend and I started with some healthy bites a.k.a salads. The watermelon tabbouleh was not just yummy, but it also made me feel like I could gorge anything after that, as it worked as a perfect appetizer.

A few helpings and lots of gossip later, I went a little OTT with the Tahini Panna Cotta (pictured below). Most milk-based products are a hit with me. This one won me over too. I definitely recommend it to those that have a milk tooth!

We did return to the Ramadan Handicraft Market after dinner, as we promised ourselves, where I finally got to meet the lovely Melissa from the Rustic Bead. I have been meaning to feature here on DIAF for a long time now. Melissa, I want to welcome you to DIAF very soon.

On an overly full, yet happy belly, my friend fell in love with an extraordinary piece of jewelry – a rare, vintage, blue topaz ring. I still wonder if she splurged on it!
