What greeted us at the RARE restaurant, Desert Palm, Dubai was a fully loaded table with Hot and Cold Mezzas. The Cold Mezza included Hummous, Tablouleh, Fatoush, Mouhamara, Mixed Pickles and Arabic bread.
The Hot Mezza included Kebbeh, Cheese Fatayar and Cheese Rakakat.
For mains, we had a choice between five entrees — Chicken Biryani or Dawood Basha with Vermicelli rice or Hammour Harra with Crushed Potato or Arabic Mixed Grill with Saffron rice or Arabic Chicken Ball stew with Vermicelli rice.
I had the Hammour Harra with Crushed Potato and my friend had the Arabic Mixed Grill with Saffron rice.
And, for dessert, we had Umm Ali, fresh fruits and a selection of Ramadan sweets.
