Cafe Habana is more a go-to for the ambiance and nibbles type of place, not to mention the drinks and live music (on select days), than dinner.
Having said that, my friends and I enjoyed munching on the Enchiladas Suiza, the famous grilled corn and The Cubano. I like how that sounds. It just means something ‘big’ is coming your way. And it was.
The Cubano sandwich (pictured left) is essentially a Cuban Sandwich that is stuffed with a lot of meat and cheese. Since I don’t eat red meat, I ensured I had someone along who does (in case we did order something with it) , so that he / she could tell me if it was really, well, tasty! My companion, who can be quite critical when it comes to food, gave it a thumbs up.
I personally enjoyed the Sincroinzada (pictured left). This was yumness packed in a soft tortilla. The chicken was cooked to tantalize with it’s flavors. Oh! did we mention the green salsa? A must try!
For someone who does not relish Parmesan cheese, (my friend at the dining table) she liked the Grilled corn, which has Parmesan cheese as it’s topping. This one sure had it’s flavors mixed well – sweet corn meets salty Parmesan to tease your taste buds.
The Guacamole had just the right amount of creamy-ness to it – it wasn’t chunky.
