If I had an image to show you the difference, I would have. However, as I’m sure you agree, things like supple skin and radiant skin are hard to define.

I can tell you that I have been getting comments on my skin since I started using it. But, I have to reiterate, when it comes to ‘a thing’ such as glowing skin, there are or can be many many factors at a given point in time that change it’s appearance, not just one thing.

The Givenchy Le Soin Noir uses vital algae to renew your skin. Since time immemorial, and we quote the tiny booklet that comes with this product, ‘in any sea or ocean , mysterious algae, Vital Algae, have the amazing ability to resist and regenerate themselves, withstanding the most hostile conditions. Fascinated by this, the laboratories at Givenchy were able to isolate at the heart of the Vital Algae, the key to their amazing restorative powers – elemental black-hued molecules that made possible the creation of Vital Black Algae Sap Concentrate.’

This is what is used in the Givenchy Le Soin Noir Lotion and what the researchers claim will moisture, nourish and tone your skin. The result after using it, they say, is soft, supple and plump skin.

After trying it, I found that it did pretty much all that it claimed to. I tried it for a few weeks, just to put the product to a reliable test. Remember, skin products work differently on different skins though.

It has a strong fragrance; it kind of smells like perfume which is the only thing that I wasn’t too crazy about. But that is something that you can surely overlook if a product can deliver radiant skin?

The texture is like water. It has the same consistency as a toner. So, you just take some on a cotton pad and dab over your skin. You can carry on your normal face routine after application.

Bottom line: Try it if you are genuinely looking to find a product that will add some glow and suppleness to your skin.

Givenchy products are available at Faces Beauty Stores across the city.
