Zareen believes that painting is like being able to fly, once you are painting the only thing that can stop you are your own thoughts…nothing else can come in your way.

Zareen first exhibited her work when she was thirteen and years later, her love affair with her Art continues. It’s a gift and she wants to share it with the world.

She has always described her paintings as stories rather than paintings, and when you see them you will see why. Her choice of color vividly display her emotions, her brush strokes take place of words and her characters are in constant conversation with the viewer. Her work also acts as a diary for her to record the people in her life, their fears, their happiness, their tragedies, their dreams, their love, their drama, their tears and their lives. She feels that she is privileged to be able to live her life doing what she loves the most. And that is one of the reasons why her use of color is passionate, and she is not afraid to paint over the lines and cross boundaries whenever necessary.

I feel happy knowing that our paths crossed. I should mention that Zareen has also given my mom, Komal Dembla, a platform to exhibit her works (paintings) in Dubai. Thank you Zareen. Keep on at it.
